The Interview Questions

Source: BrantHR Staff

The employer’s goal is to hire an applicant who possesses the knowledge, skills, abilities or other attributes required to successfully perform the job most effectively. Employers should consider the interview as an evaluation and that it is further research for both parties involved.

Each aspect of the interview should be focused on one of the following questions:

  • Is the applicant able to do the job?
  • Do they have the skill necessary to be productive and to make a contribution to your organization’s objectives?
  • Does the applicant have the motivation to do the job?
  • Do they have the self-confidence to do the job, and will they stay long enough to make a contribution equal to the expense and time invested in the recruitment and training process?
  • Is applicant manageable?
  • Does the applicant come across as critical or negative; will they disrupt the flow of the team already in place?
